Defeated by flashing LEDs

Hello everyone,

I was happily running the official v2.1 for a while, and then took Stephen's superb v2.2 beta 1 and enjoyed that for a day or two... but then disaster - my Streak crashed badly (for no apparent reason), wouldn't respond to a factory reset or reinstall so I attempted to go back to Stock rom v1.6 but to no avail.

I'm left with v2.1 beta being the only build which will install using a stock recovery image - despite the flashing led's when something tries to access a missing or locked file somewhere. Have spent many hours over last few days trying every possible combination and permutation of loaders and images. I hate to admit defeat, but it's difficult to ask anything which hasn't already been asked or solved elsewhere on here or elsewhere on the web...

Does anyone know how to completely nuke the Streak using fastboot commands... I know that I can use :

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c -w

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase system

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase recovery

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase boot

and perhaps

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase userdata

fastboot-windows.exe -i 0x413c erase data

... but is there anything else I can clear?

Also, to put the final nail in the coffin, I can't load anything successfully from the Market... I've tried killing the task and clearing userdata/data and I've tried creating another google account - but it's reporting "Download Unsuccessful" at every attempt to download anything.

This is the worst case of locked streak I've seen reported anywhere. I would deeply appreciate any suggestions of what I could try next.

Update - received my replacement Dell Streak from O2 today (great service O2)... will wait for Steve's v2.2 to completely stabilise before taking another run at it... maybe another week or so?
