Hi all,

I've just got a San Francisco, rooted etc and loaded up R4, I have a problem where the phone gets warm - I've then discovered data downloads are running away, not stupid amounts but when you are on a 200MB plan in the land downunder it matters! Left unattended I see 6 - 7 MB an hour - which is loads for a phone that is in theory not doing much (no Google sync and hotmail checking once an hour on an account thats get 3 mails a day)

Anyone else experienced this kind of issue? Thinking of flashing original ROM and seeing if the same issue occurs.

thanks in advance

Mine does this too. It appears to be my hotmail account constantly refreshing, when i kill it, the problem stops.

same here, was really worried to start with, now after i have checked my hotmail i kill that app

if its the same as i had it keeps on refreshing all emails, delete them and they come back

only does it now and again

I've not tried deleting any of mine yet so i'm not sure if ill have that problem. Yep, only solution so far seems to be to kill it as soon as you've checked - pity tho, id like it to be on and just alert me when i have one so i dont need to check.

Thanks both, I've just setup Gmail to retrieve my Hotmail emails and have removed the hotmail account from the Email app. Will confirm if that works.

Thanks again.

Can confirm that after 4 hours using Gmail instead of hotmail data usage was only 207KB! Thank you.
