Guest Francesco89 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Hello, I'm new here ..... Because I'm Italian I write for convenience with an automatic translator, so I ask you to excuse any mistakes ..... first of all I would like to thank all the people of this forum and their founders as doing an excellent job. I'm going to get my new Orange San Francisco and I would ask if you can install a ROM in Italian, with the possibility of using voice commands in Italian .... I do not know whether it is possible but I think you can help me ... .. thank you in advance and wait for your reply ..... thanks.

Edited October 18, 2010 by riddick86
Guest Francesco89 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 To me it is yet to come .... but I informed the Italian language and to unlock the phone .... that works with our sim but you must unlock it ....
Guest sblg Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Phone will work with any italian sim (i'm using 3 ITA) after it has been unlocked (i got my code from NCK codes mentioned in another post) for italian language, download "More Locale 2" from the market, then google voice search and all the other apps will work in italian ITA: tranquilli, una volta sbloccato (io l'ho fatto con NCK codes) il telefono va con tutte le sim, una volta impostato l'italiano anche il google voice search sarà in italiano così come google maps e tutto il resto è un telefono fantastico e per 125€ sfido chiunque a trovare di meglio!!! buon italian san francisco a tutti!!!! :) :)
Grazie... (if I should write in english please let me know and I'll do.. :) )
Grazie... (if I should write in english please let me know and I'll do.. :) ) you can install a custom rom, or remove all the orange stuff without rooting. there's also the italian option for android, so language is not an issue. non ci sono problemi, è esattamente come avere un cell in italiano.
Guest gipp Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 no no language is not a problem.. I just don't want annoing problems like rubbish appication still working... I've read for example the mail application from orang can't be deleted.. Isn't it true?
Guest sblg Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 no no language is not a problem.. I just don't want annoing problems like rubbish appication still working... I've read for example the mail application from orang can't be deleted.. Isn't it true? nobody is using original orange rom anymore everybody is using a froyo rom (JJ9 or fibblesan) so all orange junk is deleted ita: nessuno lo usa più con la sua rom originale, basta che installi una froyo qualunque e risolvi sia il problema del sim lock che le cagate di orange... vai tranquillo!

Cmq, senza installare more locale 2, ho impostato l'italiano nelle impostazioni....
Guest gipp Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Another question for you phone-geeks.. Do you know if once unloked it's possible to install Android 2.2? I was told that whith the 2.1 there are some problem when saving the apps to the external memory, while with Froyo you don't have any limitation.. And, also, what about the processor? Is it fast enought to support Froyo (in case) and does it allow a good web surfing? Thanks...

Guest gipp Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 Hello guys, is everyone using OSF with 3 ITA as operator? I've rooted and flashed mine, now I'm using 3 ITA and everything works perfectly apart mms. I can't send and receive them! Can anyone help?
Guest shmizan Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 you need to update your APN settings according to your provider's. it's in Settings, Wireless & Network Settings, Mobile Networks, GSM/UMTS Options, Access Point Names click add fill your provider's APN Settings (you can find it in google)
Guest gipp Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 yes, I've already done, everything match but mms still don't work! I hoped someone with the same phone and provider had an advice..
Guest CoccoBill Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 For you guys trying to set up MMS: search the market for "APN Italy", it will set your APNs up in a sec! Works like a charm! Funziona perfettamente!
