Guest RaiderX303
Uninstall old visionary, reboot. Install r12, run temp root, then run attempt permaroot, you now have permaroot on desire HD

Guest pinnnnn
Uninstall old visionary, reboot. Install r12, run temp root, then run attempt permaroot, you now have permaroot on desire HD I wish I had read this first - I installed the + then tried to permaroot without uninstalling old one. It restarted and then I followed your process. Visionary+ says its rooted but no root apps will run. Also cant unroot via app as it does nothing. Any help please? Guest
permroot seems to work fine but titanium backup refuses to start now  EDIT: I see, I also assumed the app was the same (visionary, not visionary+), just installed it and used permroot.. So far I tried to unroot, uninstalled visionary+, disabled temproot on boot in visionary, uninstalled it, reinstalled visionary+... each step with a reboot in between. Now i'm stuck with visionary+ stating that I can't use temproot because i must be rooted, permroot doesn't do anything, same for unroot. TitaniumBackup now starts again, but what's it's use with no root? :& Edited November 10, 2010 by Guest

Hopefully someone has a solution - so near and yet so far... You will have to flash the ruu (check on xda) and then it will work. It will reset your phone back to factory state though! Guest kingkeld
I installed VISIONary (I think r11) about a week ago on my DHD. Then, yesterday, suddenly I had no root privileges and could not find the program in my installed app list. Now, it is back in the list and I have temp root again. I would like to upgrade to r12, but when I download and try to install, I get the "problem parsing the file" error. Does anyone know what this means, and what I can do to get around it? I get it with both r12 and if I attempt to install r11. I am not very happy about uninstalling r11, as I do not feel sure that I can re-install it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kingkeld. Guest
I don't see where your problem is, just downloaded r11 using the enter key on the captcha. Still stuck with the rooted/actually not rooted problem... I'm really not in the mood of resetting right now, especially since I can't even do backups without root ;( Maybe there will be a working solution that doesn't include factory reset. Guest zafayar
Do we have a solution for this "problem" ? (A friend of mine with this problem) Thanks /Ani Well, I am in the same boat. The is what I have found (but no solution):Visionary will not re-root the device - either permement or temporary. Error message will say that it is already rooted.Running any root application will fail. "su" on adb gives 'su: must be suid to work properly'I can do a temporary root manually using Rage. Check XDA if you need it.I have done a Factory Reset both from UI and from HBOOT. Does not help. I have Vodafone AU branded phone, so I cannot even install any other ROMs on it. Any help from the developer/s of Visionary will be great. I am getting by on manual temaroot, but I really want to get a permaroot if possible. Any help will be appreciated.
