Guest bais Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 He deleted acer's framework? What does that mean?
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Nope, Acer UI has a different name and I don't think it's deleted. Rather, the apps "Home Decor", "Media Server", "Registration", "Acer Settings", "Acer Update Notifier", and "Acer Sync" were deleted, as well as the Acer Widgets. I still haven't figured out what AcerNidus does, but it might have something to do with tethering.
Guest bais Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Just tried it, nothing special, just a light ROM without Acer UI.
Guest zombolo Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Is there percentage on battery icon?
Guest bais Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Yup. It has a circle battery icon, a little different from the LCR one.
Guest khamees79 Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) It gave me error: No qcn file selected. What that should mean? K Edit: Worked when I reinstalled again. Thanks Edited October 18, 2010 by khamees79

Acer Nidus is something to do with debugging, when an app FC's you have the option to send info to Acer through it. I've deleted it from mine and tethering still works. I also saw it set as the default debugging program in one of the config files while i was snooping around.

Guest stanleylhs Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 Hi, all! I am new here and I am new to this phone! Does this one works with Liquid E or Liquid only?
Guest stanni Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) Thx! How's the battery usage on thisone? He says it's not a final version. Is it compatible with the 256mb liquid? Edited October 19, 2010 by stanni
Guest sonique Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Hello, I'm new to Acer Liquid, so excuse my question, but what is the difference between MbD and LCR ? MbD is modify official Acer ROM LCR is custom from user build from scratch ? For MbD where can we found original acer ROM used for base for MbD ? So what is the better ? I think it's depend from user usage, but for which usage I need to use one or the other one ? Thank you best regards Cédric Edited October 21, 2010 by sonique
Guest Chewy11 Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 key is to backup everything, and then flash a few ROM's, see what you like then reload apps and settings once you choose a final
Guest sonique Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 @Chewy11: ok thank you and about differences between MbD and LCR I'm right ? I read something more, so ROM are bin, but, it's zip package ? that's right ? Thank you

I read something more, so ROM are bin, but, it's zip package ? that's right ? Thank you I would start with LCR: complete and stable all ROMs have advantage/disadvantage Read MANY posts here and on XDA and learn slowly, I'm 3 months into it and have a descent grasp on things with a few growing skills bin=start from scratch reroot(updates baseband)...the firmware(requires ACER tool 3.1 install) ROM= change only the OS(like a windows version) install with Malez recovery THE KEY POINT: every ROM has a recommended bin #, but some ROM's can function on several bin's, but not optimally...keep the match up to ensure fewer problems
Guest sonique Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Ok, thank you so much, it's more clear. I will read more :P
