cm6 + wakeup speed

i just recently been going back and forth from my previous backups and the 0.20 cm6 (testing linpack swap a2sd etcetc) and noticed that, there is a split second (like 0.5) of darkness before the lockscreen appears

it is pretty weird, all the backlights flash, darkness, THEN lockscreen, seems like something software conflict related, btw i dont have any custom lockscreen apps (tried lock widget same thing)

anyone else notices this? is there a workaround that lets me speed up waking the phone?
