Using Latitude with background updates enabled, but also with juice defender only enabling the 3g for a few minutes every 30mins or when I am using the phone.

I went online to check my location history in Latitude and surprisingly it has been updating itself regularly throughout the past few days.

Does this mean that it bypasses the 3g restriction?

Or perhaps it stores your location data regularly and then sends it as a batch later on when it has 3G access?

I have trawled through google's documentation on it but have not found an answer to this.

Ultimately I want it to update regularly and successfully, I had planned on keeping 3G on all day for this purpose but now wonder whether I need to as the data seems to be getting through somehow.

Any expert advice would be appreciated!

Andy
