Guest akhenat0n Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 So I just went from i8910 to HTC Desire and that's my first Andro phone,so I've never been using any Android device before. Now,I want to update my device to 2.2 Froyo, but as you probably guess,I'm a bit confused, please guide me and recommend me a proper tutorial. Does my phone have to be rooted to update to Froyo,or it's not so necessary? Tnx in advance mates!

Tnx in advance mates! official way Checking for phone software updates manually From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings. Scroll down the screen, and then tap About phone > System software updates. On the System software updates screen, tap Check now. better modded way, do need to root try this i would reccomend the modded CyanogenMod is better and has the crap removed hope it helps
