Guest dadashi Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 I've recently got an Orange Sanfrancisco and I'm an Android newbie. When I go to the market it asks to create a google account first. I don't want to create a google account, and I don't want to lock the phone to a particular account because I might give it to someone. Is there an app or some way to do this?

The phone wouldn't be locked to any particular account. Under settings->accounts click on an account and there is the option to remove it, or add more accounts. So should you give the phone away you could just remove your account.
Guest dadashi Posted October 19, 2010 Report Posted October 19, 2010 If I install an app from a certain account, will it still work if another user sets up an account? Are the apps bound to accounts?
Guest dennerjw Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 Your apps installed on your phone will not be affected by accounts. Apps you pay for will however be linked to your account, so you can download them on other devices. Correct me if i'm wrong.
