Do you have cockwork mod already installed, or are you having problems installing it?

Your phone no longer boots and sticks on the andorid logo?

There is no need to do anything with a cd burner. what command do you type when the burner starts?

i could boot up the phone let android screen stays on , i type c:user\bear\desktop\fastboot\recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img in command prompt

than windows imager burner take place, beacuse windows image burner is the default program to open up .img file

i think is has got to do with the image file extention

•Extract the fastboot zip file.

•From a command prompt (at the directory containing these new files!) run 'fastboot-windows flash boot boot.blade.superboot.mcri.r3.img' (subsituting 'fastboot-mac' or 'sudo fastboot-linux' as required)

(this is where i get stuck, hmmm )

•When this finishes, from the command prompt run 'fastboot-windows reboot' (again substituting 'fastboot-mac' or 'sudo fastboot-linux' as required)

If you haven't figured out what you're doing wrong let me explain it to you: you are only executing the parameter you should pass to the application; in other words you just tell Windows to open the file which's path you entered. Because you run Win Vista or 7 (I assume) Windows then looks up which application to use to open this file. Because the image file burner is linked to the img filetype by default, Windows starts the file burner application and passes the path of the file it shall open to it. Exactly this is what you have to do to flash the image. Instead of just telling Windows to open the file (by only entering the file's path) you have to run the fastboot-windows application and pass the path of the image file to it.

in other words:

fastboot-windows flash boot C:\some-folder\some-image.img (that's the image file you're trying to flash)

Of course you will have to cd into your fastboot directory first (assuming you didn't store your fastboot-windows executable in system32).

Best regards,

BB

Assuming you stored the files on your desktop in a folder named ''superboot'' you'll have to run the following two commands:

cd C:\Users\bear807\Desktop\superboot
fastboot-windows flash boot boot.blade.superboot.mcri.r3.img[/code]

cd stands for ''change directory''. Obviously with this command you just switch to the directory you specified, in this case a folder named superboot on your desktop. If you have the files stored somewhere else you only have to change the path in the cd line. The rest stays the same, just paste the second command and hit enter. This will flash the boot image.

when you were flashing the recovery using fastboot did you get a message saying sending? and then complete?

if so then take the battery out. disconnect the usb from the phone.

then put the battery back in.

now holding volume down, and keep it held down and hold the power button down too. keep holding it until your phone goes upside down and loads clockworks mod

another way is to

Step 1 download androot here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747598

Step 2 root your phone with it install it with a file manager i personally use monster app from market.

Step 3 download better terminal cant provide a link for that but i am sure it wont be to hard to find :P

Step 4 download the recovery image here http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.p...co-r2-blade.img

Step 5 copy the recovery image to the root of your sd card i presume you all know what root is :D

Step 6 fire up the better terminal and type su to get root permishions.

step 7 then on the next line type this to push and install the recovery image. flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-clockwork-2.5.0.9-modaco-r2-blade.img

step 8 once done exit better terminal and reboot phone whilst holding down volume button and the power button it boots into custom recovery.

step 9 download pauls custom update.zip rom and copy it to root on sd card enter custom recovery in step 8 and chose option update from sd card and chose the update.zip you copied to root.

Step 9 once installed let it reboot and it should be all done i recomend a add free account to cook your own rom.

Funny i havent even got my sf yet will be here friday but i prepeared this guide in advance good luck hope it helps those not wanting to use fastboot.
