Guest add.thebad Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 http://phandroid.com/2010/10/18/exclusive-...rbread-details/ doesnt look all that different considering we where promised a revamped ui, perhaps this is just 2.3 which would be a shame
Guest Stevos Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 doesnt look all that different considering we where promised a revamped ui, perhaps this is just 2.3 which would be a shame It's difficult to see much from a still shot with blurrycam. A lot of the effects the article talks about are animation based so won't show up on a still. Also bear in mind that pretty much any UI concept that can be envisaged is all patented up the wahoo by MS, Apple, RIM, HPalm and dozens of patent troll companies, which no doubt restricts what can be done. Here's a blurry video purportedly of the screen power off animation - which sort of collapses on itself vertically like an old telly turning off http://www.everythingandroid.org/gingerbre...ion/2010/10/21/ Also a lot of it may just be to do with making the UI more consistent and logical to use. IMO the android UI is already pretty good, so if they just polish it and make it all smoother and nicer I'll be happy. I'm more interested in the new features than the new UI...
