Is there any way to get the time a SMS/text was SENT rather than when it's received?

All my SMS/texts always show the time received ie. if the phones been off, then the time of the messages are shown as when it's turned back on not when the messages were actually sent. I've looked at "message details" and gone through settings but can't see this anywhere. What am I missing?

This was bugging me as well.

There is something about editing the source which seems like a more elegant solution, but I don't know how to do anything like that.

I use the above mentioned SMS Timestamper and it works well...

It will add the time the sms was send to the bottom of your message... It's free on the market!
