Guest Irie_man Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Hello - I am not able to surf the web using any browsers while in 3G. I have tried the stock browser and dolphin. I know the data connection is working because I am able to check my gmail, and do an Android market search. It is just the internet browsers that do not open any web pages. I have cleared my cache and history. The browsers work fine in wifi. Dell said it has to do with the carrier if it works in wifi. I am using it in Panama with Cable and Wireless. That is the same as AT&T in the US. I went to C&W and the APN is set correctly. They were unable to help. My Dell Streak info: I bought it from the Dell Small Business website unlocked. OEM Version: GAUSB1A111100 Build#: 6267 Kernel: 2.6.29-perf I will appreciate any help in getting my browsers to work in 3G. Thanks, Andrew
Guest popetodd Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 (edited) Dell is correct, if it works on WiFi then it is an APN setting issue or your carrier has not enabled you for data. You need to contact your carrier and get the correct APN settings. If those do not work then you need to ride on your carrier about their misconfiguration of your account. Besides APN setting, is there any other settings that I should check because the APN setting is correct and I do have a data plan.

I need to meet someone with a streak here in Panama, I need to test the USB cable if you are up to get togheter. :P

Guest brokenpixel Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I'll post for the record... Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > click on the access point you want (CW your case) > Proxy just delete whatever you have, leave it blank go back and enjoy your 3G :P
