Read the review on Techradar about the Orange San Francisco, saw they mentioned this forum so came here and read the excellent review on here.

I was so impressed I went out and bought on, which may not seem a big deal but I've always been Nokia person, right back from the very first gsm phone they did (I used to work for Voda and they supplied uis with Nokia's) I never thought I'd change, but I love this phone.

After using it for a few hours, i took the plunge, got the unlock code to use my O2 sim, then flashed the R4 image on it, Very impressed, the guides are excellent, and I only had a couple of problems that were easily sorted by using common sense.

I had major issues with the O2 internet and MMS settings not working which is why I took the plunge and flashed the image file.

Setup the APN's and its now working perfectly, I'm a very happy chappie :P

My question, and I have searched but cant find an easy answer.

Is there an ap to "easily" switch between 2 and 3G and also to turn wifi on and off without having to go into the settings each time I want to change?

I want to maximise battery life by uing 2G whenever possible, but there are going to be times when I will need to use either 3G and/or wifi, and it would be so handy to be able to turn them on and off from the home screen simply,

Thanks to all the guys who do these mods, you really do a great job.

search the market for curvefish! dev has both for 2G/3G (requiers 2clicks though) and wifi. although the standard power widget has for wifi/gps/bluetooth/sync/brightness so you might also want to check that out
