hey guys new to the forum and to the whole android forum i am a hardcore blackberry user and took my first dive to android with the Dell Streak . so far i am really happy i have been playing with my streak for a month and i am already running android 2.2 v1 and i love what i see . my only issue is battery life thats all . i would love to see how the dell streak will be if it gets 3.0, but all in all the 2.2 is a great update and it was pretty easy . blackberry has some serious work to do from what i have been seeing so far and apple has no chance in the future if android keeps up the good work on the OS.

Welcome to Android... I was a hardcore iPhone owner until I lost my 3GS. Decided to test out Blackberry and Android before iPhone4 came out. I was sure I was to get the iPhone 4 when it came out but since my 1st Android, I never looked back.

I too was a very hardcore iPhone user and Blackberry Bold user. I had the iPhone 4 for about a month before I gave it to my wife and kept my streak as my primary. I was on 2.2 V1 and had serious battery drain. Today I moved back to V.3 to see what happens. V.2 was very good on my battery, but V1 killed it dead 3 nights in a row. We shall see....

I had the same battery issues... still no where near as bad as my iPhone 3g with OS4 on it !!!! LOL

Seriously though, check out Stephens 2.2 thread... there is a battery fix that so far(i the hour or so I've had it applied) seems to be working.
