Desire leaks system memory!!

After 2 days (not even that, 42 hours) my desire is down on 42mb of free system memory..

Sometimes it dips down to 22mb and gets REALLY laggy. Only way to solve this is to reboot.

For approx. 35 hours, I have 150mb - 106mb of free memory..so something is not working correctly...But i can't see that the phone is running more processes as when it's rebooted.

When I saw the outage a couple of hours ago, i longpressed Android System and chose "End others" (in Quick System Info) and then it was back on 108mb again, but now it's back on ~40mb again :P

Seems like my phone isn't closing processes as it should...

How can I solve this?

I'm using MCR R9, standard settings.

One of the reasons I stopped using modaco roms, system would become laggy and run out of memory and practically be unusable until a reboot where it would last a couple of days (sometimes doing nothing at all with the phone) and it would eat away at the memory and battery.

I've moved on and am very happy now.
