Strange Notification Glitch

OK,

Every time I plug my USB into my pc I get a notification sound. I don't mind this, I set it to a system one or no sound at all.

However, occasionally and intermittently it will use a completely obscure sound file from Assassin's Creed called RAW_0013 or something. Basically it's dogs barking and confuses the hell out of me.

I immediately change it back and it seems to work for a short time but then I plug it back in the evening and it has reverted to dogs!

Why on earth would this happen?!

Perhaps it's just a side affect of the hideous amount of tinkering I've done with the device and this is its way of getting back at me.

Have you got Dev mode enabled in your settings...I get some weird notification sound when that's enabled, and the phone boots up, when connected....usually only if i have the sim lock on, but with sim lock off, i get no sound, and the phone boots up/connects as normal.

Go into Settings, Sounds, disable SD card notifications.

I did that with mine, but still when you have dev mode enabled, and you plug it in, you get that strange tone.

I don't know what dev mode is...

The glitch is pretty persistent...
