I Would like to make my icons bigger using root explorer

Hi again to all,

I have been playing with froyo on my streak for just under a week now and have had no problems at all with the operation of the phone.

I would however like to make the homescreen icons bigger if possible. I have done some research and downloaded and installed root explorer but i cannot access the build.prop folder.

Can anyone help with this please?

you MUST have root perms...

Go to the top of the folder list

go to \system

click the "mount r\w" button

open build.prop

edit it

save it. It will create a backup.

click the "mount r\o"

close root explorer

reboot phone

Download and install universal androot, click root twice.

download astro, terminal emulator,busybox, and "mount /system (r/w and r/o)" from market.

Open busybox and install it.

Open mount system as r/w program, mount as r/w.

Open terminal emulator

Type "su" and enter, type "cp /system/build.prop /card/" and enter

Open astro and long press in /sdcard on the build.prop, open as in the text editor.

change the lcd density to whatever you want (i prefer 180) stock is 160 and steves build is 140 by default.

open the terminal emulator back up and type "cp /sdcard/build.prop /system"

Power off the phone and power it back on... get ready for a whole new phone!
