Getting a Dell Streak next friday (yay)

Hi guys, been browsing here for a few weeks while i wait to get the dell streak. 1 of the reasons im getting it is the large screen for browsing and really excited about using flash but what i would like to know is do you think i should install steves version 2.2 straight away or as im new to the device just wait for the official release from dell which shouldnt be too long anyway?

and generally how does the phone perform, is battery life good etc?

maybe you should play around with it stock first. im personally sticking with steve.. so far its been like an update a week which is great!

Play with 1.6 for the 1st day to familiarize yourself with the device.. (that's it cause that's all the time 1.6 is worth spending) Just to get a taste of Dell UI.

Then go with 2.2 Stephen's version.

Let me point out though, that before you update to Steve's version, you will need to update the phone to v2.1, as Steve's version requires this version for it to work and run properly
