Can't boot into recovery with rom manager.

Am I missing something simple ( I hope ) ?

I'm trying to boot into recovery to try the new R4 using rom manager.

Every time click "reboot into recovery" the phone just boots normally. I've tried holding the volume up/down buttons while it's booting but then I only get to the green android screen.

It's late, I thought I was on a roll when I sorted the usb drivers out and used adb to install the sense wallpaper :P only to hit a brick wall.

I'm obviously missing something blindingly obvious :D

I'm having the same problem now...anyone suggest what has gone wrong? All i want is the desire v2 theme :P

Get some sleep and read the clockwork mod installation instructions again.

Worked for me :P
