Guest no-ice Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Bought the wife a G1 off ebay after she saw my new san francisco. But as she likes a physical keyboard, and with the budget, the G1 was the only option. So i got it, rooted it (wasnt as fun as the san fran) and proceeded to install a stock g1 rom to remove tmob branding etc. Well, she is on payandgo, and the phone ate £15 credit with no real reason for doing so. I figured it was a background data setting or something, so installed an eclair rom, so it would have same options as my san fran so i could monitor credit usage. But now it wont import contacts from her sim card. She has 170 contacts or so,and starting to get frustrated with the phone. Can anyone point me to a stable eclair rom, which will allow the copy contacts from sim (like my san fran)
Guest BlackCloud1711 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 You could try installing the official Froyo rom. Its from the magic, but they're basically the same phone. you'll need the danger spl and the 2.22.28.25 radio installed. Its a decently fast rom whilst still being android 2.2.1 anyway, heres the link to the rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811620 any questions just ask.
