Low on Space

I keep getting the 'Low on Space' - "Phone storage space is getting low" notification on my phone.

Every time I go to 'Manage Applications, the biggest thing listed in eMail, at 27megs.

Does the program take up that much room? I only have about a dozen eMails saved on the phone, text only, no images or videos.

Am I missing something obvious?

Any other hints on clearing up phone space?

What's really frustrating in that I've got about 3gigs free on the mem. card...

I keep cutting down the apps I have installed, but there aren't many anyway, and the few I have left are small (under a meg each) and I use them frequently.

Thanks,

OT.

That's *entirely* my intention good Sir!

:P

Just waiting for the official update to become available...

Since you're a man in the know, is it hard to set up apps2sd? Got my phone rooted already, and a new memcard to partition...

No it's not hard at all really :D.

I got a lot of help from RottenFoxBreath before I did it, had a load of questions regarding it myself :P .

He suggested using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition. Works a treat.

Cool, thanks for the help.

so once you've partitioned the memcard you basically just install the apps2sd app and you're done?

Gawd bless these forums, be lost without 'em...

Pretty much :P. Just remember to extract the folder within the zip file you have to download and rename it to app2sd.

You'll need the Android SDK installed too...

Beforehand rather, so that you can install the APPS2SD.
