Guest Matt29 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 When i use a sound board and long press i can set the tone as either my ringtone or my notification tone! But when someone bloo tooth's me a music file i only have the option to set as ringtone and not as notification tone! is this a bug and is there anyway to get a custom notification tone, without using sound boards etc?

If you don't want to get the offensive sounds when your SD card is mounted over USB, you can push them into '/system/media/audio/notifications' with root permissions over ADB. NOTE: You will have to reboot your phone, as when placed here, they are only refreshed on boot.
Guest Matt29 Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 ok i dont think youre getting me, ill explain a little better lol When i download a sound board from android market place and long press the screen on a sound, I get the options set as ringtone and notification tone! right! BUT if someone sends me a tone via bluetooth or MMS it will only let me set that as ringtone, and not notification tone.

Then you will have to use a file manager to move it into one of the folders myself and the previous poster, x.balli.x, suggested.
