Guest Hands0n Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 I'm looking for a bit of help here please, having seen to run into a bit of a brick wall :D I have just got a new Orange San Francisco and have been busily unlocking and de-branding it with the Modaco ROM. Everything is working fabulously well with one exception. That is, I cannot talk to the device using ADB on my Mac. I know that ADB on the Mac is working okay, because I am using it okay with a Nexus One and a Dell Streak. However, when I hook up the San Francisco and test for connection using "adb devices" none are discovered. dannymbp2:~ dannyt$ adb devices * daemon not running. starting it now * * daemon started successfully * List of devices attached dannymbp2:~ dannyt$ The same is true of DDMS - it, also, will not see the San Francisco. I've tried both Modaco Eclair 2.1 ROMs. I also tried the Froyo Alpha with full wipes between each install. Nothing seems to work. What does work? Everything else :P Fastboot works okay as does USB access to the SD card for file copying
Guest Hands0n Posted October 23, 2010 Report Posted October 23, 2010 Okay, so don't I feel completely stupid :P The clue was to update the Android SDK to capture the latest drivers and fixes. Once done it is quite happily working as it is supposed to. I hope this helps anyone else who runs into this bijoux problem. :D
