Guest grcd Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I am speaking purely in terms of processor/GPU speed and the end result as it shows on screen. I am asking because checking on pdadb.net it is actually harder to draw direct comparison. Pulse has better resolutions and looks better built, but Mini seems to be a 'newer' device and has a 'newer' CPU but clocked at the same speed. Mini has more RAM and ROM and comes with 2.1 out of the box, whereas Pulse has tiny RAM and ROM and its official 2.1 update is still buggy. So, from anyone who knows directly: Which is 'snappier' on day to day to use? Has the Mini been overclocked like Pulse has been?
Guest AndroidKiller Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 mini has been overclocked to 652 which is stable though you can go higher. However I dont have a pulse so cant say which one to get, but to play games on the mini is good but soemtimes due to small screen and reolution not all games works.
Guest craigb244 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 theres only one way to find out..... ....FIGHT!!!!!
Guest TaiwanCHT8k Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 either THROW BOTH OF THEM OUT OF A WINDOW AT THE SAME TIME or have a look at this review Seeing that msm7227 runs significantly faster than the 7200A we got on pulse, I borrowed an Acer E400 from my gf to play with. (600Mhz, Eclair) After launching a few google apps I felt that my Pulse runs significantly smoother than P400 overall, but it might be because of my clumsiness on resistive touchscreen. I found no glitches while playing Angry Bird but I was expecting more than that, like popping-up feathers you can see on youtube replays. Pulse mini got a msm7225 (which is slightly inferior than a 7227) so I assume it will be barely faster, if not slower, than pulse.

Same speed processor although their not the same processor plus pulse can be overclocked and mini has more ram. Also mini has resistive screen which is terrible and is really small
