Guest Winston69 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I was about to do the same as i've just done a clockworkmod restore and thought something was wrong, hopefully it's them and not us?
Guest feckineejit Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Thanks for the replies, i can relax again.
Guest blauwal26 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah, was just asking myself the same today, haven't played around with any roms yet the market isn't in a mood to download stuff, hope it gets fixed soon.

Guest jsplace Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Guys don't switch roms because the Market doesn't seem to work. Its a market issue and I am having the same issues on my Hero.

Guest MIKEYMC Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah I went back to R4 earlier and noticed that the Market is playing up. Lol I was about to jump on my phone :P Damn you market.
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Lol I was about to jump on my phone :P Damn you market. It does make you marvel at how safe it is to Re-ROM your device over and over - Once you have clockworkmod - its plain sailing
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 I know it's a re-post but http://search.twitter.com/search?q=android+market+download Shows that all the internet is having problems Downloading :P
Guest MIKEYMC Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 It does make you marvel at how safe it is to Re-ROM your device over and over - Once you have clockworkmod - its plain sailing My first android phone and I've fallen in love. I'll never get another phone that isn't android.
Guest nedian05 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Hello i downloaded this zip file today Mirror from Stephen: http://www.dmpwap.net/update2.2.zip from here http://android.modaco.com/content-page/321...build/page/280/ but first i used clockwork to make a recovery, (at least i thought i did) well didn't like this rom because could not get on the market, so decided to go back to the recovery but clockwork said it wasn't there, so i eventually went back to stock rom after hours of trying to install others, anyway even now i'm on the stock orange rom i can't download any apps, it starts up but then says download unsucessful on every app. i have no problems getting on the internet or any probs with my gmail account . Anyone any ideas what the problem is, i don't know how to use adb either so that option might be out the window. i have very little hair but what have is almost gone after 4 or so hours trying to sort this :P Edit: Just read in another part of the forum that the apps market is playing up today, can anyone here verify that so i can stop driving myself mad here. I have also spent 3 hrs changing ROMs than decided to leave for tonight, just saw the posts here.
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) I have also spent 3 hrs changing ROMs than decided to leave for tonight, just saw the posts here. Yeh dude, I feel for you , I am staring at a stock install myself, check twitter first is my new rule (best to check that non-hacky users like ourselves are seeing the same thing) Checking here - doesn't prove its android wide :P Edited October 24, 2010 by StevenHarperUK
Guest MIKEYMC Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Doesn't google have some way of letting people know the market is down?
Guest StevenHarperUK Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Doesn't google have some way of letting people know the market is down? No - I expect they believe them selves too good to let it happen. Strange most big companies have a Service Status page: personally I like the 3rd party status pages - but they only spring up for sites that are regularly down http://www.istwitterdown.net/ and http://downrightnow.com/twitter Edited October 24, 2010 by StevenHarperUK

Guest Hands0n Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Android Market is definitely shagged. I have not been able to use it with any the four Android devices in this household (Nexus One, HTC Desire, Dell Streak and Orange San Francisco). Bah!
Guest TonyLeMesmer Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Been on and off for me, seems to work eventually if I restart the download.
Guest Sebastian404 Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Yeah, it was nothing to do with me.... I'm sure people are aware of it, but it is Sunday :P There was quite a kafuffle over Apps, and they came up with this: http://www.google.com/appsstatus but as of yet no sign of one for android..
