get apn backup and restore, use wifi to get it from the market then delete APN (delete all apn's in your phone)

then make a new connection and use the settings linked to above

I have just got the phone, which I intend to use with Vodafone contract. Unlocked, so sim working as a phone, but I cannot get mms to work. Tried the settings linked to, but doesn't seem to work. I have tried and failed to flash the rom, to remove Orange stuff, but at this stage just want to phone doing what it should. Did you get a final solution.

Vodafone MMS on pay as you go

I have slowly acquired the right details from the sites referred to elsewhere but none give a complete listing. The following seems to be working ok for me:

Name Vodafone MMS

APN pp.vodafone.co.uk

Proxy 212.183.137.012

Port 8799

Username wap

Password wap

Server not set (ie do not enter anything)

MMSC http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

MMS proxy 212.183.137.012

MMS port 8799

MCC 234

MNC 15

Authentication type none (ie do not enter anything)

APN type mms
