Is it possible to use vanilla dialer/contacts?

As in the title, is it possible to use the stock Android dialer and contacts apps? If so, where to get them?

From what I've gathered their only one app, branching into two shortcuts...

Your correct, contacts is also the dialler, you can tell as the AOSP one has four tabs at the top of the screen.

However there is more than just the contacts.apk you need to replace, it has dependences in other places.

Im working on a AOSP build of 2.1 for the SF, but Im not going to get much work done for the next 2 weeks since I'm back off to Europe, but I believe other people are working on the same.

Yeah, that's what I though, replacing the related files made a mess of my phone, had to reflash it :D

I think I'll wait for someone to take care of that, I don't think I'd be able to do it :P
