Guest popoyaya Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 There are reports that the froyo rom removes simlock so no need to buy a code.
Guest rjm2k Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 There are reports that the froyo rom removes simlock so no need to buy a code. Any reports as to whether or not the lock is removed permanently or returns if you go back to 2.1?
Guest Olly232 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Thanks for th fast replies guys, So it looks like the sim is locked/blocked and not the imei , No, the phone will not work on Orange until you register the SIM that came with it. I am on T-Mobile and roaming to Orange failed until I registered.
Guest dav_dako Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 No, the phone will not work on Orange until you register the SIM that came with it. I am on T-Mobile and roaming to Orange failed until I registered. My orange sim card has never been near my phone and it works with other orange sims :S
Guest flyingscotno1 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 No, the phone will not work on Orange until you register the SIM that came with it. I am on T-Mobile and roaming to Orange failed until I registered. That is two different things surely? I can't see why it wouldn't let you roam from T Mobile to Orange because you didn't register the SIM with Orange. I never registered my SIM with the phone- it has never been in yet mine works on T-Mobile and on Orange.
