Android Market hanging like a mechanical monkey

Hi Folks,

So, purchased a shiny San Francisco, have wiped the orange gubbins from it and am struggling with a few things. However, one of the big ones is that I'm having big trouble trying to get anything from the Market.

Currently I have 2 apps which are at the 'starting download...' phase; and have been for hours.

I have been able to download some apps previously, but there doesn't seem to be a reason for this. As soon as the download begins properly they take seconds.

Am I missing something here???

This worked for me:

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All ->

Market -> Stop and clear data

Download manager -> stop and clear data.

Boom! Working!

I had a similar problem, when you did your gmail account at the beginning did you use .com or .co.uk because using .co.uk can cause issues because of the switch over
