Clockwork 2.0.5.1 plain refused to mount my SD card

I have tried:

the original 16 gb SD card

Formatted in windows 7

Formatted in osx

Formatted in the phone

a 4 gb san disk sd card untouched with the file on it

a 2 gb san disk sd card that i just bought with the file on it

several times putting the card in and out

None of these will mount the card.

The cards all work fine and the standard recovery app mounts and reads the pkg off the card no problems

The cards are all fine so why doesn't clockwork mount the card?

Should i try an older clock work because so far the only thing that won't mount the card properly is that.

Is there any other method of installing a rom in zip format, using some other recovery tool?

Thanks

are you sure its not mounting the card?

you can use adb shell while in recovery.

so you can mount it that way

Never used the ADB shell is there a quick link to a guide on how?

thanks

edit - do you mean running adb-mac in terminal from my mac while the streak is in recovery and plugged in?

edit 2 - it mounts the card fine when booted up, its just clockwork that doesnt

edit 3 - got some of the basics of adb now from the help but can't see any command to mount the sd remotely and when i try to list devices it just says ;list of devices attached' but to what? i dont see any new files or listed devices

That didn't seem to do a great deal.

I am using my mac as my pc is win7 64 and was a pain in the arse to get the drivers crap to work and osx worked first time.

I will give win 7 ago but i suspect trouble ahead

Hey, I had the same problem a while back, on my side of things I had to open my streak :P and take the internal micro SD out clean it and put it back in. Don't recommend this option if you have warranty. But the problem is that the internal microSD can't be read and that is why is calling those errors.

Awesome

Thanks for the heads up!

I have certainly knowed it off a coffe table once or twice so it might have come loose because of that.

I will give your method a try

From the tear down it only looks like i have to take the front cover off to get access to the internal sd card and i have the tools.

as an update, I have taken the phone back as it is well under warranty and they will either fix the problem, which i explain i discovered using the diagnostic adb software when the phone wouldnt update or let me install apps, or give me a new phone.

Fingers crossed

Sounds much better than voiding the warranty :P, I'm on a Beta streak so no warranty for meh, that's why I had to choose the "open it up option".

Hey BrokenPixel, I have the Same Problem as the other user, Can't mount sd card, but I can mount it if I blow some air in the card reader it mounts just fine but whenever I flash another rom it Crashes within the first 5-10 minutes of usage....the only stable built on my Streak is the 6941-2.1...but in that too I cannot install any apps or download any apps from the market because I get "Application Not Installed" and "Download Unsuccessful" Error msgs respectively.....I have a Beta Streak, I got it from someone and he was in an accident and dropped the Streak on the road, I am suspecting that it might have caused an Internal damage to the card Reader or something, I cannot even Install Froyo on it, it simply crashes within few minutes, I am unable to Upgrade or Downgrade :'(

need Your help Again Buddy
