Guest Blasphemous Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 Can any of you guys shed any light on what might be wrong here. anyone able to help me out here please. I'm still stuck on the green android man logo. Have tried re flashing SF after typing in fastboot-windows flash boot boot.blade.superboot.mcri.r3.img I get the message in the cmd box waiting for device So far he's tried: I firstly rooted the phoned via the fastboot method (had the superuser app, so I assume all was well) after this thing its where I went wrong, may have installed the wrong file then renamed as supposed to, however after that I've been stuck on the dreaded green man. Have tried several time now to reflash the SF, all appears fine in the cmd box however the dreaded green man will not disappear. Have tried installing the clockwork mod, followed instructions, all appeared fine in cmd box (instruction wise) you can hear 1 or 2 clicks between laptop & phone, green man flashed once however still stuck on the dam green man! Left the battery out for 5 minutes, replaced, no difference! Doesn't appear to be a problem with micro sd card, can access it it via a card reader no problems, can't access it via the phone/p.c. though, obviously because it stuck on the green man. Tried starting the phone without the SD Card in the phone, no difference! Not sure if this is connected to all this but I can't turn off the phone either, the only way is to disconnect the battery. Could I ask for some help for him please guys? Thank you in advance.
Guest Glen_uk Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) If the clockwork mod is on and you turn on phone with volume down button held on do you get a menu? If so make sure the mod file is renamed to update.zip and then flash that. I had problems and it seems similar but then I could be wrong. Hope that may help. Glen Edited October 25, 2010 by Glen_uk

Glen Hi Glen, I am also facing the same problem and new to this forum please can you provide me a detailed instruction on how to do this as I dont understand "If the clockwork mod is on and you turn on phone with volume down button held on do you get a menu? " Please let me know step by step process to resolve this problem.Any help would be much appreciated. "If I try switching on the mobile with volume down button it displays a white screen with letters 'FTM' on it.Nothing happens even I press the volume button /power button for a longer time after that" Thanks, Dinesh M
Guest Gerson2k Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 I don't mean to sound harsh, but I suspect some of those new to Android appear attempting to flashing to a custom ROM without doing the necessary research; there are quite few threads covering all aspects of modding the ZTE Blade and trouble shooting. e.g. StevenHarperUK's novice guide @AndroSF Which stage of the modding process are you at, Rooted+MCRi? Rooted+MCRi+Clockworkmod Recovery? flashed a custom ROM? The relevant step by step guides for rooting, Clockwork recovery, and flashing Clockworkmod ROM. If you want to use fastboot ROM then you need to use the forum search.
Guest brutus66 Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 'FTM' i had that prob m8 i just popped out the battery then restarted it and whent into recovery upside down i then put pauls r4 rom on the memory card and selected install zip all sorted
Guest Budgieboy Posted November 27, 2010 Report Posted November 27, 2010 I'm having trouble installing the unofficial Froyo update using clockwork recovery, I removed cache, boot, recovery and system files then tried installing the Froyo rom, but on the install it simply flashes to a quick view of an install screen and then finishes and rebooting simply gets stuck on the Android logo.
