newbie question regarding apps

hi guys - please excuse me ignorance if this sounds silly...but ive got this phone san fransisco on pay as you go, brand new,....how would i go about downloading the apps in this TUT HERE..in order to root, debrand and install a custom rom on ther ?...i have no contract, or pay as you go credit?....dont have access to wifi/network...ive downlaoded the files from my work work place as it has a pc...via google..etc...but how would you install them on to your phone...im assuming its just copying them onto the root of the card ?..or is it a bit more then that...ta

do you have a file explorer on you phone allready so you can go in and explore whats on your phone?
