Phone Keypad Buttons

Hi, I have been running a custom 2.1 ROM for a while now and I have been using the standard HTC phone keypad as I find this easier to type than the qwerty keypad. I have just recently updated to 2.2 R9 custom rom and the phone keypad seems to have some buttons missing, the hide keyboard and settings buttons have gone. Is there a way I can download the old 2.1 keyboard and install it on the 2.2 rom?
