Guest retral Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Followed all instructions, but it's just getting stuck on "Waiting for device". Using standard command prompt in Windows. Seen a few others asking what this is all about, but nobody seems to have answered them? :S Any help would be appreciated.

Guest tehtroll Posted August 3, 2011 Report Posted August 3, 2011 I think I got the correct drivers and put them in the windows\system32\drivers folder (I'm not even sure they're supposed to go there) but they will not show up in the Device Manager and I'm still getting the same <waiting for device> error! If anyone could help me install the drivers, point me toward the correct drivers if I downloaded the wrong ones or anything I would really appreciate it! Please someone help
Guest rddocke Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Followed all instructions, but it's just getting stuck on "Waiting for device". Using standard command prompt in Windows. Seen a few others asking what this is all about, but nobody seems to have answered them? :S Any help would be appreciated. i was having the same issue as you were. took me a few trys. see if this works for you. Install htc syn from your phone onto your PC Plug in your phone run the program and make sure it finds your device. then run revolutionary, with your device set to htc sync and the htc sync running on your pc.(it will not work and the terminal will only pop on and off right away. if your able to catch what it says youll see it tells you to uninstall htc sync.) now go ahead and uninstall HTC sync from your computer. Run Revolutionary again. it should work. If that fails then right click on the revolutionary file and select properties, compatibility, and select run as {then you scroll for your current windows program} that might be your last step assuming every step before this is complete. Let me know if this helped FOLLOW ME @rddocke
Guest t0mm13b Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) Superboot is not == to fastboot! All superboot does is inject the insecure adb and superuser into the handset's ROM. To get fastboot - you can enter this on the command line adb reboot bootloader or adb reboot recovery To get into recovery. It should be pointed out that using the first command, you can then use the fastboot binary to flash etc. Edited August 30, 2011 by t0mm13b
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I have sometimes the same bug All i do is to unplug / plug the usb cable and fastboot works after that
