Some time after R9 has finished and has exited WIP mode.

Though I feel I must inform of the fully functional and stable R8 MCR, found on this forum.

Have the courtesy at least to await R9 before asking for R10.

What is it exactly new release hunters wants? R8 works well, yea sure some widgets has been implemented into R9 WIP but it´ll get there. He´s working on several devices with rooting and rom making, he´ll get there just not now, for instance can be mentioned Desire Z and Desire HD rom ports to Desire if my memory serves me.

Let R9 be finished first, I´m sure it´s well underway.

If it is in fact that you feel something is missing and you have constructive ideas to a future release I am sure he´ll listen.

Until such time I recommend jumping back to R8 or live on the bleeding edge of rom technology heh and go for the current R9 WIP with which I have no experience though. I am happy with my MCR R8

Its a duplicate post, but on-topic nevertheless:

Whats wrong with R9 and what specifically would you like to see in R10 WIP?

Or is it just that everyone wants R9 WIP to be considered a stable release and renamed R10?

Maybe he's, like many others, hoping that R10 will have the official kernel compiled and/or modified, as the sources of the HTC Desire are available now? ^^

there are at least two modified, from htc source compiled kernels here in the forum, which suit r8/r9 very well, if you need it,

- sub501

- alex-v

they can even be flashed without wipe on their one

or have a look at xda for other sense kernels

sub501 has even excellent init scripts for module loading, undervolt, powersaving etc and a very customable configuration

that good thing, you have the choice: learn something, and do a few or more tweaks on your own, if you are impatient, or wait for the menu, and take what is served.

i prefer the former, it suits my needs more.

WIP's are WIP's.

If you see the amount of repeated queries sometimes in WIP thread's, it makes you wonder if those people understand what it's for.

R9 is good (haven't checked but I presume the Bootimage problem is resolved now).

R9 is Stable as a Concrete Building, and very friendly on the battery from what I read around.

Paul has already given a sort of shedule, just not one set in time.

"I will take R9 out of WIP, and after that I will setup a new R10"

Maybe he intended on setting it up that friday, but what good would it do him, having to catch up on the user Feedback after one week?

And worse what if it had a mayor fault in it, and he could not get back to it till a week later?

Thank "Paul" he is so wise not to be pressured into anything.

Doesn't the fact that Paul has released prebakes for R9 mean that the next step is to release R10. He did say at the beginning of last week he intended to update a lot of the stuff he was working on, but he also tweeted later that things were taking longer than expected. To all those who are all "wantwantwant" I say that is the wrong attitude and anyway you probably won't want R10 in a couple of weeks as Gingerbread will be have been released and you'll be asking Paul when a ROM will be available for that.
