Guest zipr0 Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 According to some forum posts on pocketpc.ch, HTC has halted shipments for now due to some undisclosed technical issue with the first series of DHDs. Both digitec (a Swiss online retailer) and HTC customer support apparently confirmed that they need to make minor changes to the devices and that shipments would resume on November 5
Guest Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 Technical issues? I really hope they change the speakers.. But that's pretty unlikely.. :/ But if there are technical issues, shouldn't some of the already shipped devices have the same problems?
Guest Alien*46*UK Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Would be interesting to know ... I've got one of the first batch, but not had anything wrong with it. Perhaps they will send out the parts or change the phones under warranty?
Guest zipr0 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 battery and sim cover? yupp that's the word. Mine seems to be fine, except that my SIM card got stuck - I've been unable to remove it so far (tried for over an hour). Not a problem right now as I don't plan on selling it anytime soon but will eventually become a massive issue. zipr0
Guest cezent Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 not actually heard about it, anyone got the actual story link?
Guest PeBo75 Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) except that my SIM card got stuck - I've been unable to remove it so far (tried for over an hour). Just a guess... try it with a piece of adhesive tape / masking film. Stick it to the free visible part of your SIM and pull it in a slightly upward direction. The SIM is held in place by a little plastic notch. The tape should allow you to lift the SIM over it. Edited October 31, 2010 by PeBo75

Guest mike1986 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 Any news on that? Is this new, fixed production line confirmed?
Guest psych0t1c Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 And... has anyone with a "sketchy" 1st production run talked to them before about a replacement or warranty fix of gaps. I have one ugly thing, the battery sim cover sitzs snugly on one side of the case (cover is flush with the rest of the case on the side and the back, but on the other, short side there is a noticeable gap. Half a millimetre sound not too much, but its noticeable when you hold it, and it blows away my enthusiasm about the phone. I'd like to get it replaced or at least moved the hardware into a fresh case. Batt cover is OK, takes like 3 runs to get it installed so it is mainly flush. Oh yeah, of course my cam cover wobbles/rotates. All no biggies. But on a 580 Euro phone. I also understand that they are short on units as of now, but I would happily wait two months with the "sketchy" phone if I got a confirmation that it will be replaced. So anyone, contacted them? Fair will to accomodate or are early adopters left out in the cold?
