Guest feckineejit Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Hello i have clockwork recovery on my phone, and did a backup the other day before i changed roms, but when i went to revert back to the rom i backed up it didn't seem to be on the phone, so i have just done another backup with clockwork and it seems to be backing up the rom, but when it's finished i get this list, can someone tell me if i have made a proper backup? This is what it reported back: ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.9 (MoDaCo r2) SD Card space free: 2977mb backing up boot... backing up recovery... backing up system... backing up data... backing up .android_secure... backing up cache... No sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext. Generating md5 sum... Backup complete! Oh and why does it say: v2.5.0.9 (MoDaCo r2) if i'm on Seds r5 rom? EDIT: Found the clockwork backup folder with 6 files inside it do i need to zip them files together, or do they just stay on the the phone unzipped? Edited October 27, 2010 by feckineejit
Guest Stooby Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 Yes, that backup log looks good. If you need to restore from the backup, just use the Restore option in ClockworkMod, it will put your device back to how it was when the backup was made (i.e. ROM, Apps, Settings etc.) The version is the version of ClockworkMod, not of the actual ROM. The files in the ClockworkMod folder should be left as they are - if you zip them up into 1 file, the restore function would not work.
