Can't install RUU files

Hi all,

I have rooted my HTC Desire and have bootloader version 0.83, When I try to load a new RUU rom, I either get a lost USB connection or a pause waiting for Hboot, where my screen is black with HTC on it,

Any help with this would be appreciated.

with unrevoked..?

you know if you flash a ruu you lost the root..!!!?

why don´t you flash a rom.zip (custom roms)...?

I have tried a variety of custom roms, but cant seem to get any to work, I have a Telstra Desire, although I have rooted it using Unrevoked3, Just want to install the latest RUU file from telstra, but having trouble.

I located the rom.zip that the RUU file extracted, but when I flash that file it has an error and just says BAD lol
