Microphone Volume problem

Hi, I recieved my San Francisco yesterday and it looks like it is going to be an excellent phone, with just one major problem.

When I make or receive a call the microphone volume seems to be very low. I'm practically having to shout for the other person to hear me which is a deal breaker.

Has anybody else had this problem, is it just a faulty handset? or can it be fixed in software?

Doesn't sound like anyone else is having this problem, so I'm going to get an exchange back in the orange shop. I've put back my original nandroid backup, I'm guessing the modified boot loader won't matter.

Replaced the handset this afternoon, New phone is much better.

If you are experiencing microphone volume problems it is not normal, go get it changed.
