Why does my Back Key flash green sometimes?

Hey guys.

I got my phone just over a week ago and so far love it! The only thing that is bothering me right now, is when I have the phone in the standby, at random times the Back Key starts flashing green. My first guess was that ts syncing something, but the sync icon isn't showing in the top bar, so I'm not sure. I can't really find anything in the manual so I thought I'll ask here. Can someone please tell me whats its doing?

Its a notifucation alert for a new email, sms or missed call etc.

Check your notification bar after waking :)

I get a red flashing, not a green one for sms etc. And I've checked to see if theres any notifications when its flashhing green, and there is none :-/

It flashes green for notifications and red when it says you need to plugin a charger i think

With Modaco Custom Rom it behaves as it should - Flashes whenever there is missed event, regardless of screen and charging status. However it flashes in green, which is hard to notice in bright daylight. Red would be more suitable, but I don't know a way to achieve that. Any ideas?

Constant green for fully charged.

Flashing red = lower than 25% of battery left

Green = 100% battery charge

Not noticed mine flash red at less than 25% battery, does when i dont have a signal tho

Mine is solid red when it needs a charge urgently (like now!)

Flashes red when there's a notification (this is the same for either a missed call, sms or email)

Solid red after a while with an unread email (I cant figure out what the threshold is from the flashing to it being solid!)

And solid green when its connected to power (either wall or usb port) and is charged.

It is solid red when charging, until it gets to >90% charged and then the light goes off.

Every other time the notification light isnt on.

Mine has never flashed green in the month Ive had it. This is with R3 of the MCR.

It would be nice if there was a definitive list of the states of this thing!

mine flashes green for notifications but I changed the colour to flash red for text messages using handcent so i can distinguish the difference

green is actually 90% to 100% charge I thought it was 100 but i came across it when i unlocked it to check something it was on 92 and green well that was on gforums 2.2 anyway moved to sebs rom will see how that is, green is also new text message, and red is everything bad or when its chargin or on low battery, and when the phone is booting up this is the only time ive seen the colour changes

That is exactly what the manual documents. Changes at 90%.

It is NOT fully charged when the 'green' light comes on.

If you are at all concerned to maximise battery runtime, don't take it off charge just because its gone green ... leave it as long as you can!
