I am trying to remove the rear cover of my SF to remove the battery, did anyone else have problems getting the cover off ?

I dont want to force it incase it breaks.

Thanks

I find using my thumb nail is best, just stick your nail in the slot at the bottom and slide your nail along the gap should pop open.

The easiest way is to put you thumb nail in the slot, then slide your nail around each side, pops off easy.

At first I was incredibly scared that I might snap something because you more or less have to pry it open. I'm still scared to do it :)

I did read the manual, it was rubbish, nearly broke the cover trying to get it off. It says nothing about running your finger along the back edge.

I think there was a separate insert with a picture showing you how to open, it's pretty easy really.

Hey, here's a thought.....why just not reply if the question upsets you, as opposed to being sarky. I presume you were also confident that the guy had the manual to hand, i.e. was at home when he asked the question. I don't wanna have a rant but a bit of patience wouldnt go a miss :)

As someone at the receiving end of sarcasm on this very forum (well, another part of it) I can honestly say that patience is very well appreciated, even if it ends up being a stupid question. We all have brain farts (me more than usual) and normally I ask after attempting a search first but finding nothing (which might be due to speeeling something wrong in the search box, pun intended).

I approve of the quoted comment, the author and an abundance of patience towards the "intellectually intermitant". :)

I always thought it was:

“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and he can sit in a boat drinking beer all day"

once you've had it a few weeks and

had a number of lockups/freezes and

the back has been off to reset by removing the battery

just breathing on it will remove the back.

Manual?

What is this thing of which you speak?

I didn't get a manual either and the sim was already pre-installed. I get the feeling mine was a return but since everything works I'm not that bothered.
