Guest Sere83 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) So I return the last damn phone for battery issues and get a new one. Test the standard orange rom, drop to 84% after 7 hrs idle and 25 minutes stop watch timing. I install app launcher, Fancy widget and Sebastians R5 and a few basic apps. Turn refresh off in fancy widget, turn on sync (so I can get me email). Took off charge this morning and it drops to 84% after 25 minutes stop watch timimng and 10 minutes idle. WTF????? Now at 77% after 2 hrs, where I sent 2 texts...this is a joke. Then I rebbot the F**king thing and it drops to 74%. Whats the point if I cant even have a damn clock, receive my emails and turn the phone off without battery dropping at a stupid rate? I'm starting to get really pissed with this phone and these roms. Sorry to get angry it's no ones fault but mine, just really frustrating. Is anyone else having these issues? Can anyone help? ps. Also why does fancy widget F*ck my screen responsivesness and make it laggy, and why does abduction not even work properly? Edited October 29, 2010 by Sere83
Guest koalauk Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Just an idea as I am no expert, 1250 mAh either li poly or li ion battery, this type of batteries will best perform after a few good charge and discharges, Battery calibrates better when its charged when the phone is completely turned off, after at least 7 - 10 charges (or uses) it should start performing properly.
Guest thomas01155 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Did you install the ROM when the battery was at 100%?
Guest Sere83 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) No the battery was quite low when i installed the Rom actually. I was getting 2 days idle with the standard orange rom, after installing sebs rom and a few basic things the battery has become a joke. Let the battery run down to almost nothing when i first got it then charged for 8+ hrs. Any recommendations on what I can try? Maybe turn off and charge? Edited October 29, 2010 by Sere83

It messes up the battery stat if you don't install it with 100%. Read the guide here to fix it: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/orange-san...763425?page=227 you will need to reflash the ROM

Guest rjm2k Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Isn't it easier to just fully charge then use wipe battery stats from clockwork rather than re-flashing?

UPDATE: Yeah can I just wipe battery stats? Is re-flash necessary. Edited October 29, 2010 by Sere83

Guest Sere83 Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 (edited) If this is the case, it must be the rom then. How can I go from dropping 1 bar after 7hrs on the stock rom to dropping 2 bars after 2 hrs on sebs rom? Litreally just plugged it back in and its at like 65%. This is actually a nightmare, I may have to revert to the orange rom, this rom is just brutal on my battery. I can live with a few orange icons if I get decent performance. This is exactly what happened to my old phone, no direspect but these roms seem to be messing up the battery, it's the only conclusion I can draw. Edited October 29, 2010 by Sere83
