San Fransisco Warranty

Well when i purchased my SF from the orange store the guy told me 28 days return to shop and 6 months call to customer service, which i thought is quite short anyone else told the same thing or had this guy got his facts wrong. My ideal warranty is a lifetime one :)

is this some sort of law ? thats alrite then i can see if my sf will last a year if it does then a new sf will probably last another year so break my sf on the last day and get a new one
