Come to think of it I don't even think it was on a Streak, but it was an Android device. I have the dock as well. I'll look around. Real HDMI app does it..... Edited October 29, 2010 by jnovello
Guest punkrckriot Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 The Real HDMI app would be nice to have on the streak. The dock is unless for hdmi right now. I use it as a bedside charger/clock mount right now
Guest jnovello Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 The Real HDMI app would be nice to have on the streak. The dock is unless for hdmi right now. I use it as a bedside charger/clock mount right now I found the apk last night. I'm going to see if it works in a bit. When I first got my streak the charging cable didn't work, so I spent a week with no charge waiting for the dock to arrive. It's been invaluable to me for charging and USB needs. Fiddling with that damn cable is so annoying.
Guest degriz Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 IM guessing this is a hdmi/locked fps vs no hdmi unlocked fps app?
Guest madd_dog Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Does any one know how to turn the alarm "on" when connected to the DOCK. I use the dock as a charging station during night and I cant seem to get the alarm working. Help.

Guest noboard Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Same problem. I use the dock at night, never had a problem with alarm. When docked and clock showing, alarm icon is bottom left. Press this to set and view alarms. I have alarm for weekdays and another for sundays. It happily switches between them. If your phone is in silent mode, it can disable the alarm. This could be the problem.
Guest paullong Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Hi, the problem (at least for me) is that the dock cuts the streak's internal speaker off, assuming you want sound to go through the "line out". The setting for this doesn't work.

As soon as i plug it back in the sound's gone.
Guest JaysFreaky Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Running 1.5.1 and have no problems with the alarm going off when plugged into the dock.

I was on 1.4.6 and alarm was working with the dock. Suddenly one day it stopped working with same problem you are encountering. That was the tipping point for me to stop tinkering and giving up on modded roms so I decided to go to stock 2.2 and all is working well now.

That could be one of the solution, but I like Steve's rom and I would like to use my alarm and docking station with it.
Guest madd_dog Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Running 1.5.1 and have no problems with the alarm going off when plugged into the dock. Inspiring from this, I did a factory reset. And as long as I dont turn the "enable speaker by default" my phone rings on the dock. I will try with alarm tomorrow.

Guest Truenash Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 For me, when I plug the dock in I get an option to disable the phones speaker in favour of a speaker plugged into the dock. I click cancel to leave the phones speaker enabled. Is this option not appearing on Steves rom? You can choose to always use the phones speaker from the dock settings, which can be accessed from the clock/clock dock app with the menu key.

I get the prompt, hit "cancel" to leave the phone speaker enabled, but it's like the system isn't respecting that preference. Like M_D, if my phone is docked when the alarm is going off, nothing happens...pick phone up from dock, alarm starts playing through the phone speaker no problem.
Guest madd_dog Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Any luck with this, madd_dog? I am on 1.5.2 and alarm + phone work on the dock Change the setting to - Enable Speaker out without prompt.. Which is kind of weird

Which is kind of weird Hey madd_dog, Where are you getting the option to, "Enable Speaker out without prompt". I am not locating that option anywhere.

Guest m0bi1e Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Thanks Madd_dog. That just ended two months of the dock annoying the hell out of me. To Stinky's point, I will stop helping to hijack the thread now. Thanks Steve for all of your awesome work.
Guest amccox Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 has anyone had issues getting the device to work as a usb device for file transfers? it just doesnt seem to recognise it and i cant transfer anything, either through dell mobile sync or just as a usb storage device the power works fine.
Guest Truenash Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I found usb hubs will refuse to recognise it, even powered ones. Needs to be plugged into main motherboard usbs. What are you plugging yours in to?
