This is something that I have also been wondering about myself, as I only have wifi at home or sometimes in an open wifi place, cafe etc, and although most of the apps say that they need an internet connection, I tend to stay clear of them, in case they start using the internet over the celluar network, as like you i don't have a data plan as well.
Guest Labello Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 or can someone tell what what an rss feed is?
Guest Webreaper Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 If you don't have a data plan, then surely you won't get an internet connection when you don't have wifi? In which case you can pretty much use whatever you like, as there won't be any data connectivity so the widgets will just do nothing if wifi isn't available. Unless you mean you have a data plan, but it's limited/expensive.... in which case use something like Tasker+APNDroid or Setting Profiles to disable data when you don't want it used, to save bandwidth.
