Depends on ZTE, when they release their new phones with a 2.2 ROM, the devs can port it to the Blade.

Actually the only noticeable thing wrong with the later Froyo ports are custom Notifications (Defaults work fine) And playback of certain MP3s (Most of mine work fine)

There are some teething problems with the market, youtube, talk etc but they all work. Oh and GPS can be a little temperamental.

But no Forcecloses! Like the pulse :)

There is no reason not to use the Froyo rom now :)

I am not meaning this, coz China's version of V880 ZTE Blade was released 2.2 rom by offical, But Orange and England version still use 2.1 ROM.

I want ask people who had the V880 and can call or email to Orange for asking their when they can release a new rom of 2.2 for Western ZTE Blade Users.

Some people already called Orange asking for an 2.2 Update for Western Blade users, but Orange said they have no plans on releasing one.

The 2.2 Alpha (meaning very pre-release) for the SF (which many are enjoying) is based on a pre-release (leaked somehow) Chinese Blade.

It would be important news if the Blade was now available retail in China ...

By the way, as I know this 2.2 rom is made with the china's version ROM, that's why some different problem from the driver coz China version is use different hardware. Like TFT Touch screen.

They have already doing per-order for the china version.

China version may different with RAM 256 and TFT Monitor. But they say they provide 2.2 ROM by Official

Our China website said: Western 2.2 Alpha Version's ROM is Updated with China official ROM、That's why got many bug coz the original one is use for china one.

The chinese ZTE Blade is called ZTE V880 and is not for sale yet, as far I can tell from google results. However, I do understand that it will be shipped with Android 2.2.

on another note. The development of the froyo alpha, is that still going strong, or has that halted till the kernel arrives?
