Which one is the best ROM

Hi, I just got my San francisco for £79 :)

I am not so familiar with android...... Am a light user. Just wondering which version of the available rom would be the best. I do not like the Orange one.

Also Can i use This phone as a modem to connect to the internet in the laptop?

I have 150 mb free internet and i want to use it from my laptop through the SF. is it possible at all?

If you:

Want to take a chance that half / all / none of your MP3 music files play (No damage, just the rom can't play them)

Are prepared to do a little tinkering

Will excuse the GPS for being temperamental

Then you can reap the many benefits of Froyo (2.2)

If not then any 2.1 MCR based rom is probably your best bet

I wouldn't recommend the Froyo ROM just yet. He said he's a light user so it may be a headache for him when he finds something isn't working right.

I'd recommend Paul's latest ROM. I've cooked my own ROM in the kitchen and removed a lot of the stuff I won't need, and it runs perfectly.

Sebastians r5 rom is also worth a go, its fast and stable.

after trying various roms i have the R5 one is the best for me as it has only the bare essentials and only the original android apps and no other crap and have not had any issues with it so far at all ,everything is running quick and smooth
