Guest Lew247 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 I have Dr Web antivirus and it seems good (it's free so thats always good) However I dont think its running all the time and when I click the icon to start the program it says its not protecting the phone Is there a way to have it run from the moment you turn the phone on? I'm wondering if its as simple as moving the apk to the system/data folder? or is there a way to make it run all the time? The same with Skype, that only seems to run whenever I actually turn it on, not when I turn the phone on
Guest Azurren Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 Sounds like you have a antiVirus Seriously.. You don't need an antivirus for android atm (Unless your into pirating apps) and even if you are.. As far as I know there just aren't any widespread android viruses
Guest Lew247 Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 While there may not be many at the moment, it doesn't hurt to take precautions. Linux people are always saying "I dont need an antivirus because there are none for Linux, while that may have been true in the past it isn't now, although there arent many there are some, so best to be prepared Same with Android I think, as there is an antivirus program that is not only free but from a "reputable" company, why not use it? its not going to do much harm apart from maybe use a tiny bit of battery power. So back to the original question... anyone know how to make it run on startup? Also the same question for Skype
