Guest joe t Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 i realise there are other threads in relation to this, but none so far help me. im using astrid at the minute and have been for the past week. what i need is a reminder app that gives an alarm that does not stop until i stop it, whilst astrid does or did this it has now refused to save the setting RING UNTIL I DISMISS ALARM. I have requested help from there board but im getting no help just yet. i have removed and reinstalled astrid but it will not save the setting for this, it just reverts to ring once. maybe ( i dont know how) i could copy an mp3 track into the folder that contains the alerts for this app, if anyone can help me do this i would be grateful. really i would just like to test out any calendar/to do/ reminder app that gives a continuous alarm/reminders. thanks. joe..........

I used Ringdroid from the market, found myself a long loud mp3 track and selected it from ringdroid. When the mp3 is saved to the phone it is not saved in mp3 format which seems to have done the trick. Go to calendar settings, select ringtone from music section. When the phone is re-booted the settings are saved. (Am using original rom) Alarm will stop as soon as you pull down the tab from the notification bar. worked for me.

Guest joe t Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 hi, just thought id report back. it works just great, it gives you the option to save the clip as an alarm, notifcation or ringtone. it helps me in many ways as it gives volume, length of notification/alarm this in turn helps distinguish whats an email, sms or an alarm etc etc. i realise there are loads of tones but for me it is a lot easier to have song clip. thanks again amd. joe........
